Registered Nurse (RN) - Home Health Location:Stockton, CACompany:BrightStar Care - Home Health Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate:$50-$55/hour (based on experience) Flexible part-time, per-diem, and on-call scheduling options Opportunities for clinical leadership and career advancement Supportive, accredited, professional workplace environment Direct involvement in BrightStar Care's Joint Commission standards Position Summary As a Registered Nurse (RN) in a leadership position at BrightStar Care, you will:Serve as the primary Registered Nurse (RN) overseeing home health operations Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in client homes Lead, guide, and support a team of nurses, LVNs, HHAs, and CNAs Maintain compliance with state, federal, and BrightStar Care clinical standards Function as the clinical face of the agency to patients, families, and referral partners Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, respect, and service excellence Provide high-level coordination to ensure continuity of care Clinical Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vitals, documentation, and care updates Provide advanced wound care, including complex dressing changes Manage IV therapy, including insertion, maintenance, flushes, and troubleshooting Handle central line care, including PICC lines, midlines, ports, and tunneled catheters Administer infusion therapy (medications, hydration, antibiotics, specialty infusions) Monitor patient response and communicate changes to providers and families Operate, troubleshoot, and educate patients on medical equipment, including pumps Ensure strict adherence to infection control procedures and protocols Maintain clear, timely, and accurate documentation according to BrightStar standards Leadership & Administrative Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) will oversee care plans and ensure they reflect accurate clinical needs Supervise nursing staff, conduct performance evaluations, and provide clinical coaching Manage staff scheduling, on-call rotations, and field support Conduct documentation audits and ensure compliance readiness Prepare agency materials needed for Joint Commission accreditation Create, manage, and update:Emergency readiness binders Disaster plans Infection control plans Lead quality improvement initiatives and safety reviews Ensure timely follow-up on incidents, adverse events, and corrective actions Support onboarding and competency validation for new nurses Serve as a resource for escalation, clinical decision-making, and family questions Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain regulatory compliance Requirements Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1year clinical experience (home health, hospice, or acute care preferred) Supervisory experience or leadership potential strongly preferred Proficiency in wound care, IV therapy, and infusion administration Strong understanding of documentation, compliance, and regulatory standards Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Hospice experience a plus (not required) Why Join BrightStar Care?
