Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Place of Performance: Washington, DC Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), as-needed / on-call. Specific Tasks Provide coverage during scheduled Nurse Manager’s leave and/or to allow for the Nurse Manager to attend meetings or provide health/wellness presentations. Provide coverage on special events including July 4th and high level Secretarial Events. Provides acute care during medical emergencies, delivering critical interventions to prevent loss of life or limb and alleviate suffering until safe transport to a medical facility can be arranged. Provide support to the Wellness Center programs. Maintain and protect confidential employee health records per Departmental guidelines. Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program in the United States or Canada. Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory. Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience, with ambulatory care experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to meet federal facility suitability, credentialing, and security requirements. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program. Active, unrestricted LPN license in a State, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. territory. Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to meet federal facility suitability, credentialing, and security requirements.
