Surry-Yadkin Residential Services is a small, non-profit organization located in Mount Airy, NC.We offer two group homes that support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as a day program/gift shop.We provide services to a total of 12 clients.Our organization offers excellent health, dental and vision insurance at a low cost of $45.00 every two weeks.We also offer a free gym membership and free life insurance! Assess resident's continually for medical needs, medication side effects, toxicity, therapeutic response to drugs, as well as mental and well being.Nursing assessments upon client admission then every three months.Obtain physician orders verbally and over the telephone and transfer to the Medication Administration Record on Therap.Complete nursing notes in each resident's medical record.Review documentation of all health care performed by primary care physicians, therapists, laboratories, hospitals, etc.Ensure documentation is in the client's chart.Coordinate all medical appointments and carry out all physician orders.Review incident reports.Review shift notes on a daily basis.Review and approve the medication administration records on a monthly basis.Attend meetings pertinent to the care and well-being of the clients including Management Meetings, Human Rights Committee, annual client plan meetings.Consult with the Pharmacy regarding all medications.Complete Nursing Evaluations on an annual basis for each client.Train staff in Med.Administration.Ensure that residents receive on-going medical, dental and other related health care services following the guidelines for ICF/IDD standards and arrange transportation as necessary.Ensure consents are obtained from guardians and HRC when there is a medication change or change to conditions as needed.Communicate with client guardians frequently on any changes or concerns.Requirements Must be licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina as a registered nurse.Will have access to all health/clinical information for the individuals whom he/she serves, which must be confidential.These responsibilities are not all inclusive.Other medical needs that occur shall be the responsibilities of the registered nurse.The nurse shall be accessible 24 hours a day or will arrange for a relief nurse to be on-call for medical care.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$29.00 - $33.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
