Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)-Critical Care Transport, FT Days El Paso Childrens Hospital - El Paso, TX 79905 Overview Level Experienced Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level 2 Year Degree Category Health Care Description Position Summary Responsible for the assessment, treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the pulmonary system during the transport process, under the direction of the Manager of the Critical Care Transport Team, the Administrative Director and the Medical Director. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Contributes to the provision of quality care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. Qualifications Minimum Position Requirements Work Experience: Three (3) years experience as a Registered Therapist in adult, pediatric and neonatal critical care respiratory care procedures required. Critical care transport experience preferred. License/Registration/Certifications: Texas Respiratory Care License. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association. ACLS, PALS and/or APLS within 6 months of employment Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and STABLE within 6 months of employment TNCC required within one year of employment RRT-NPS certification within 18 months of employment Education and Training: Completion of a two (2) year CoARC approved respiratory care program (Associates Degree). Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of routine and critical procedures with critical thinking skills for both neonatal and pediatric patients. <
