Company Description Pet accidents, illnesses, and injuries are all unfortunate and seem to always happen at the worst of times when primary care veterinarians are either closed or too busy to see the pet. For these reasons, we are excited to announce that our newPriority Pet Urgent Care of Clayton is now open! We are available for urgent care pet needs 7 days a week from 4pm - 12pm. We're looking to hire the most compassionate, experienced, and qualified Veterinarians and support staff, to ensure the highest quality of medicine is provided. To learn more about us, please visit our website at Job Description Job duties include, but are not limited to: Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Qualifications We're Looking For: A Registered Veterinary Technician with an active license required, 1+ year professional experience preferred but not required Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts Excellent client communication and medical record management skills Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques
