Job Description This role supports Regulatory Affairs activities for Salty Snacks brands, ensuring compliance with U.S. food regulations across the product lifecycle—from ideation through commercialization and post launch. The position partners cross functionally with R&D, Marketing, Legal, Quality, Supply Chain to deliver compliant ingredients, formulas, labels, claims, and certifications for Salty products Main Duties Provide regulatory compliance support for Salty Snacks brands, including ingredient, recipe, labeling, and claims reviews Execute finished product labeling activities from creation through final packaging approval Review and assess ingredients, additives, flavors, colors, allergens, and processing aids for U.S. regulatory compliance Support claims substantiation (e.g., nutrition, organic, non GMO, vegan, kosher, gluten free, whole grain as applicable) Partner with cross functional teams to support innovation, renovation, and continuous improvement projects Utilize internal systems (SAP-PLM/PDM, labeling and compliance tools, Webcenter/ESKO) to document regulatory decisions and approvals Support responses to internal and external regulatory questions, including consumer and customer inquiries Typical Day Support label development, artwork reviews and approvals Review recipe submissions for regulatory compliance, work on claims substantiations Participate in cross functional project meetings for Salty innovation and renovations Provide regulatory guidance to R&D, Marketing, and Commercial teams Update regulatory systems and trackers (labels, certifications, compliance reviews) Top Three Technical Skills U.S. Food Regulatory Knowledge (labeling, allergens, claims, ingredients, additives) Finished Product Labeling, artwork reviews and approvals & Claims Review (end to end execution) Cross Functional Regulatory Support in a fast paced consumer packaged goods environment Very Important Soft Skills Attention to detail Strong problem solving and critical thinking. Comfortable with ambiguity. Excellent analytical and research skills Excellent communication skills (i.e. verbal, written) Excellent organizational skills and ability to self-manage for managing numerous priorities Strong initiative, and the ability to change in a fast-changing environment Impeccable ethics and must maintain a high level of confidentiality Must Haves (i.e., years of experience?) 2–5+ years Regulatory Affairs experience in food companies Strong working knowledge of U.S. food labeling and ingredient regulations Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Food Regulatory, Biology, Chemistry, or related field Experience supporting cross functional product development teams Software Skills And Purpose (if Applicable) PLM / PDM- SAP systems – ingredient, recipe, and label compliance Labeling and artwork systems (e.g., WebCenter or equivalent) – label development and approvals Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) – documentation, summaries, and stakeholder communication Industry Experience Food, consumer packaged goods (Client) industry Experience with Salty Snacks or baked snack categories strongly preferred What do you foresee as being the biggest challenge in this position? Managing a high volume of concurrent innovation and labeling projects while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on time delivery Navigating evolving U.S. regulatory requirements and business expectations in a fast moving portfolio Target companies you would like to see candidates from Large or mid size food companies (snacks preferred) Ingredient suppliers or regulatory consulting firms with strong U.S. food labeling experience
