Benefits to you We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees [OR up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for part-time employees], including mental health coverage. The hourly equivalent for this position is $30.31 - $47.03. [OR The annual salary for this position is $63,050 - $97,822.] 10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation paid leaves (prorated for part-time employees), and other employee benefits such as optional insurances and flexible spending plans. OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job! Location Highlights Dallas, Oregon, established in 1874, is a small city 15 miles west of Salem (Oregon’s Capital) along Rickreal Creek. The town was named after George M Dallas, the vice president of then President James K Polk, for which the county is named after. The area around Dallas is known for their wines – especially their outstanding pinots. It is also home to Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge. The Polk County Courthouse (tied with Sherman County Courthouse) is the second oldest running courthouse in Oregon – 1899 (an annex was added in 1965). Position Highlights The Polk County Circuit Court in Dallas, Oregon, is hiring a Release Assistance Officer/Criminal Floater. In this role… Most of your time will be spent interviewing defendants in custody and determining which individuals, upon release, are most likely to appear in court, are unlikely to commit new offenses, and do not pose a threat to themselves or the community. You will be responsible for ensuring that pretrial defendants comply with their supervised release agreements and for gathering information to determine defendants’ eligibility for court appointed attorneys. You will occasionally testify in court regarding release decisions, compliance, and revocations. Additionally, you will cross-train on different court operations to assist as needed. Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.
