Remote Travel CoordinatorSan Jose, California, United StatesAbout the JobWe are looking for a Travel Agent that is outgoing and is interested in helping clients achieve their travel goals.You will be planning incredible excursions for business and leisure clients to locations all over the world as an Agent! Travel fanatics and individuals skilled in planning are encouraged to jump for this fantastic role.Roles & ResponsibilitiesResearch, create, and execute exceptional itineraries for clientsReview individuals needs and wants for travel, to ensure you can cater a trip specially designed to meet their needsComplete ongoing training to earn and maintain certification to book travelAttend ongoing webinars with vendors and suppliers, to become specialized with specific destinationsReview budgets, and plan trips according to clients budget constraintsCreate promotional materials to utilizeMonitor restrictions on travel that come and goBook travel needs (airline, car rental, hotel accommodations, cruise, ticket/event sales, etc)Effectively communicate with clients pre/post travelHandle issues that may arise during the bookings and/or travel for clientsNetwork with tour operators regarding packages that you can possibly offer to clientsPart Time or Full timeThe ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, with a strong sales background being a valuable asset.While having a smartphone with internet access is a requirement, owning a laptop is recommended but not mandatory.Though personal travel experience is highly desirable, it is not a strict requirement.Additionally, previous experience in customer service or hospitality would be advantageous, but it is not necessary to qualify for the position..
