And more! About The Role The Intern/Project Engineer supports field and office operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. This role assists with coordination of subcontractors, tracking of project documentation, monitoring of schedule and procurement activities, and enforcement of safety and quality expectations. The position provides hands-on exposure to all phases of construction and develops the skills required to transition into a full-time Project Engineer or Superintendent Career Path. Who We're Looking For Support weekly safety inspections and enforce subcontractor compliance Assist with subcontractor coordination and field execution Participate in pull planning sessions and CPM schedule discussions Support quality control inspections and punch list execution Assist with project closeout activities and documentation turnover Maintain submittal logs and track approval status Process and track RFIs Manage document control systems and file organization Assist with subcontractor pay application reviews and tracking Support closeout documentation assembly and submission Track long-lead materials and procurement timelines Monitor schedule progress against CPM milestones Identify delays and flag risks to the project team Track punch list progress to completion Assist in monitoring subcontractor performance and production rates Support implementation of the site-specific safety plan and OSHA compliance Assist with weekly safety inspections and daily hazard identification Monitor subcontractor adherence to safety requirements and correct deficiencies Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings Track safety documentation, incident reports, and corrective actions Promote a culture of accountability and zero-incident performance on site Assist project team in all aspects of the construction process and management. Requirements High school diploma or GED On-the-job training and knowledge of construction. No experience required. Junior/Senior preferred Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and oversee and coordinate a variety of trades. Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans. Knowledge of identifying local and federal building codes, OSHA and EPA rules and regulations. Solid computer skills. Self-Starter EPA RRP Knowledge, Building Codes and Compliance, Procore Project Management Software OSHA 30 Construction and OSHA Fall Protection Certification within 30 days of employment. MS Office with emphasis on MS Project. Must have comprehensive understanding of safety regulations. Possession of a valid state issues driver’s license and safe driving record are required Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, controls, phones, and computer keyboard. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs. Work is performed in an office. Employee frequently interacts directly with community management, facilities management, residents and other staff members during the workday.
