Job Description
Join Weatherford as a Repair and Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in maintaining our equipment and systems. This hands-on position involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining field tools and equipment from receipt through refurbishment. You'll work with precision testing devices, follow technical manuals, and ensure all equipment is ready for deployment. Roles and Responsibilities Repair and maintain equipment, systems, and structures using precision measuring instruments, testing devices, and specialized tools Perform complete equipment lifecycle tasks: receiving, disassembly, cleaning, testing, visual inspection, assembly, and storage following established procedures Conduct testing and diagnostics using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic testing equipment Inspect components to determine changes in specifications using precision measuring instruments including calipers and micrometers Initiate and complete work orders, forms, checklists, and documentation for all maintenance activities Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes (certification required) Process incoming and outgoing shipments with accurate documentation and inventory control Maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental protection in all activities Comply with all company HSE policies, Management Systems, and "Rules to Live By" Ensure work areas, equipment, and facilities remain in safe, presentable condition Support LEAN initiatives and participate in continuous improvement programs Maintain service quality standards and actively seek improvement opportunities Report equipment failures and troubleshooting requirements to R&M Management Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders Complete all required function, compliance, and business standards training Engage regularly with management on performance objectives and career development Demonstrate ethical behavior and leadership aligned with Weatherford standards Skills / Education High School Diploma or equivalent 2-4+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry Basic computer skills and proficiency with work order tracking systems Forklift and overhead crane certification Ability to meet the physical demands of the role Maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and monitoring expertise Basic mathematics and measurement skills Strong reading comprehension and technical writing abilities Critical thinking, complex problem-solving, and active learning capabilities Quality control analysis to ensure products meet required standards Excellent judgment and decision-making aligned with policies and procedures Time management and task prioritization abilities Spatial reasoning to visualize system assembly, repair, and modifications Additional Information Compensation Range: $24-$30 per hour Travel Requirement: Less than 10%
