Job Title:Research Development Partnerships Analyst Department:Medicine | Emergency Medicine The Research Development Partnerships Analyst 2 will play a central role in supporting and advancing the Department of Emergency Medicine’s research program through grants, partnerships, and program development activities. Working closely with the Vice Chair of Research and other departmental research leaders, this position supports a highly collaborative, service-focused, and academically productive environment. The Analyst contributes to the strategic growth of the department’s research enterprise by providing high-quality administrative, analytical, and coordination support across a diverse portfolio of sponsored projects. The primary responsibility of this role is grant submission preparation. The Research Development Partnerships Analyst 2 supports research faculty with department-level preparation of grant applications to ensure accurate and timely submission. This includes drafting application text, populating required documents, and coordinating activities with sponsors, investigators, departmental staff, and other entities. The Research Development Partnerships Analyst 2 works closely with institutional offices to deliver complete, compliant application packages. The position also supports the sponsored project lifecycle by initiating select post-award activities at the department level, including requests for various agreements with collaborators and consultants, initiating purchases or services, and providing other operational research support. In addition, the Research Development Analyst 2 participates in select research projects as assigned, such as pilot studies or efforts that support grant development. The role also contributes to departmental research program development activities. This position requires a self-motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented, and team-oriented individual with a working knowledge of federal, state, and sponsor requirements who thrives in a fast-paced academic research environment. 50% - Grant submission preparation: Supports research faculty with department level preparation of grant applications to ensure timely submission of proposals. Drafts documents and assists the coordination of activities with sponsors, investigators, and other departmental staff as well as OSU entities (other departments, centers, etc.) in order to deliver complete application documents to OSU College of Medicine grants management and Office of Sponsored Programs. Creates text and populates documents select portions of research and program grant applications. 30% - Initiates at the department level some post-award research activities (requests for MOUs, DUAs, MTAs with collaborators and consultants, purchase service initiation, and other operational support). 5% - Participates in select research projects as assigned, including pilot projects or efforts to support grant applications. 5% - Participates in program development activities including tracking metrics, developing website content, and academic events and activities. 5% - Attends departmental meetings; participates in continued professional development and other required institutional educational activities. 5% - Other activities to support the ongoing research development within the department as assigned. Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
