Job Description
Required BS/BA or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years. Strong writing abilities – a writing sample should be included in the application. At least one year experience doing research in a behavioral neuroscience laboratory Direct experience with laboratory rodents, neurophysiology, behavioral neuroscience Preferred: Experience with rats preferred. Experience with systemic neuropharmacology questions preferred. Job Duties: 100% - Research Under the guidance of the Principal Investigator, assist with the work on the behavioral consequences of the drug diazepam on memory, particularly memory consolidation, and will look at the effects of systemic diazepam on rodent dorsal hippocampus. It will entail behavioral neurophysiology, both in terms of data collection and analysis. Learn how to do independent experiments and analyses. Neuroscience is the scientific study of the nervous system.
