(nSI) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Scientist / Engineer to support the U.S. Army Ronald Reagan Space and Missile Test Range (RTR). RTR supports increasingly complex missile, hypersonic, and space missions that require forward-looking technical expertise to assess emerging challenges, mature new concepts, and translate advanced research into operational capability. While the Range Contractor executes day-to-day operations, nSI personnel work alongside RTR leadership, the Range Contractor, and mission partners such as MIT Lincoln Laboratory (MIT/LL) to evaluate future needs, identify technology opportunities, and shape modernization strategies across the range enterprise. The successful candidate will serve as a senior technical authority, helping bridge research, engineering, and mission operations to ensure RTR remains capable of meeting emerging national defense requirements. Key Responsibilities Serve as a senior technical expert supporting RTR leadership in the evaluation of advanced technologies, mission concepts, and future capability needs. Conduct technical analyses and trade studies to assess new approaches for missile tracking, space domain awareness, instrumentation, data exploitation, and range modernization.
