Research Technician

We are a dynamic and friendly Lab in the department of Neurobiology at Northwestern University (located in the Evanston campus, a suburb of Chicago). We use fruit flies as a model system to understand how the brain works. We are looking for a recent college graduate to join our team as a technician (we also have PostDoc openings, email directly if interested). This is an ideal stepping stone for somebody looking to apply to grad school in the near future (we require a commitment of 2 years). Starting asap (some flexibility). Some experience in a Neuroscience or Biology Lab is required. Experience with cultured cells electrophysiology or fruitflies (Drosophila), would be ideal but is not required. Alternatively, exposure to molecular genetic techniques and/or microscopy, behavioral analysis etc. is good.
