Job Description
**The Hilde B Foundation is seeking volunteer contributors for a new initiative focused on research, whitepapers, and survivor-centered policy publications. About Hilde B The Hilde B Foundation is an international nonprofit organization focused on addressing domestic violence through technology, education, and systemic reform. We believe some of the most dangerous forms of abuse are also the least visible: coercive control psychological abuse digital surveillance financial manipulation AI-enabled harassment institutional failures that leave survivors unprotected Our mission is to help society better recognize, document, and prevent abuse — especially forms that existing systems often overlook. Why This Role Matters Meaningful social change is often driven not only through awareness campaigns, but through thoughtful research and publications: policy frameworks educational reports technology ethics papers survivor safety recommendations legislative commentary implementation guides This is a major area of growth for the Hilde B Foundation. Our intersection of survivor safety, technology, AI systems, and digital abuse creates an opportunity to contribute meaningful original work to important conversations around human rights, ethics, and safety. What You’ll Do Depending on your background and interests, you may help: Draft whitepapers and policy briefs Research emerging forms of technology-enabled abuse Analyze AI safety and survivor protection challenges Help structure educational frameworks for schools, universities, and nonprofits Contribute to reports intended for policymakers, advocacy organizations, and public audiences Assist with citations, editing, and publication formatting Translate complex technical concepts into accessible public-facing language Example topics may include AI and coercive control Safety risks in smart home ecosystems Ethical concerns around location tracking and surveillance Digital evidence documentation for survivors International best practices in domestic violence prevention Technology policy recommendations for survivor safety Who We’re Looking For Strong writers and researchers Graduate students or academics Public policy, law, sociology, psychology, or international relations backgrounds Technical writers interested in ethics and safety AI governance or technology policy enthusiasts People passionate about meaningful humanitarian work You do not need to be an established academic to contribute. Curiosity, empathy, rigor, and reliability matter most.
