Job Summary Bluestone Building is a Birmingham, Al residential contractor focused on architectural upper bracket new construction, remodeling and renovation projects from $ 400,000 to over $ 3,000,000. Bluestone works with some of the best architects in Birmingham. We are highly detailed, we maintain integrity in all that we do, and consequently enjoy a high satisfaction rating with our customers. We are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, be able to manage 1 -3 projects at any given time, understand detailed construction plans, and maintain timely project schedules. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and implementation Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site Ensure compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards Monitor project progress and ensure timelines are met Conduct quality control inspections to guarantee work meets standards Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution Cost management Review of shop drawings Quality control Preparation of punch lists and the execution of minor punch list work as needed to meet schedule and budget Maintaining an orderly and clean job site is mandatory Skills The ideal candidate should possess the following skills: Strong understanding of construction documents, minor estimating and budgeting Daily review and assessments of work completed each day Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively work with architects and owners Problem solver that assesses construction drawings to locate conflicts prior to the work commencing If you are a dedicated Construction Superintendent with a passion for building excellence and have the required skills, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
