Overview Swarty’s is seeking a dependable Residential General Repair Specialist / Property Maintenance Technician to assist with residential repair, rental property maintenance, and general upkeep tasks in occupied homes and housing properties. This role includes a mix of general repairs, property maintenance, light remodeling support, and service-related work. The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, mechanically inclined, comfortable working in customer-facing environments, and able to follow established processes and standards. We are looking for someone who works steadily, communicates well, pays attention to detail, and is willing to continue learning and developing skills over time. Responsibilities Perform general residential repair and property maintenance tasks Assist with rental turnover repairs and maintenance Complete drywall patching, caulking, touch-up painting, and minor repair work Install or repair blinds, screens, hardware, fixtures, and other residential components Assist with gutter cleaning, seasonal property maintenance, and exterior upkeep; including mowing lawns Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools and materials Maintain clean and organized job sites throughout the workday Follow company procedures, safety practices, and quality standards Communicate professionally with tenants, homeowners, and team members Document completed work and report issues or additional repair needs Work efficiently and reliably in occupied homes and customer-facing environments Experience Prior experience in residential maintenance, handyman work, remodeling, painting, construction, or property maintenance preferred but not required Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, ladders, and common residential repair tasks Ability to follow instructions, learn processes, and work independently when appropriate Strong attention to detail and willingness to maintain clean, professional job sites Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the workday Comfortable working inside occupied homes and customer-facing environments Dependable attendance, communication, and work ethic required Experience with drywall repair, painting, hardware installation, basic maintenance, or property upkeep is a plus Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour Benefits Opportunities for advancement Referral program Work Location: In person
