We are currently looking for a Respiratory Care Program, Lab and Clinical Instructor for our Associate of Occupational Science in Respiratory Care at the Gurnick Modesto, CA campus. Ability to work on Campus and flexible hours lab tutoring and make up hours for students. Job Type: Part-time Hourly Pay Range: $42.00 – $50.00 per hour Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Flexible Spending Accounts (Health, Dependent Care, Transit & Parking) Health Savings Account (HSA) with enrollment in a qualified medical plan Paid time off 401(k) retirement plan Basic Function The position of Laboratory Instructor (LI) will encompass the planning, organizing, and conducting of laboratory sessions that complement the theoretical coursework and the correlating syllabus within the respiratory care program. They will instruct students on the proper use of respiratory care equipment, techniques, and safety protocols. The LI will provide hands-on demonstrations and simulations to enhance student understanding of respiratory care principles. Student management also includes ensuring satisfactory academic progress is being maintained, as well as the assignment of appropriate tutoring support. The LI will ensure all student lab performance, remediation documentation, and other reprimands are all kept up to date. The Laboratory Instructor is the bridge between the classroom and the clinical setting. Laboratory instructors will measure students’ performance through Clinical Track. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in respiratory care education or a related field Current and active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Current and active licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner Minimum of 3 years of clinical or lab experience in respiratory care Previous teaching or lab instruction experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
