Respiratory Therapist (RT) Company: Aviata Health Group Home location: Aviata at Brentwood, Lecanto, Florida Must be willing to travel to multiple locations: Aviata at Spring Hill, Aviata at Brooksville, Aviata at Arbor Springs. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Aviata at Brentwood. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing specialized care and treatment to patients with cardio-pulmonary, respiratory conditions, neurological disorders, and physical conditions that manifest into respiratory disorders. Responsibilities: Provides patient treatments which meet patient needs and uses current treatment knowledge in accordance with facilities clinical procedures Performs accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations Develops an effective plan of treatment and obtains appropriate approvals from a referring physician Communicates with supervisor and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, and treatment plans Installs, tests, and performs routine maintenance on respiratory therapy equipment Demonstrates a strong understanding of respiratory therapy principles, practices, and protocols Utilizes effective problem-solving skills to address patient needs and concerns Essential Job Functions: Provides patient treatments which meet patient needs and uses current treatment knowledge in accordance with facilities clinical procedures Performs accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations Develops an effective plan of treatment and obtains appropriate approvals from a referring physician Communicates with supervisor and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, and treatment plans Provides patient care as appropriate and necessary, following the position description for the applicable clinical discipline in which licensure or certification is held Writes accurate, complete, and clear documentation in accordance with facility policies Qualifications: Knowledge of written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of respiratory community Skills applicable to clinical discipline Preferred experience with skilled interventions such as oxygen weaning therapy, omni flow - biofeedback, group respiratory therapy, standardized respiratory testing, aerosol therapy, incentive spirometry, and more Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited program for Respiratory Therapy preferred Must possess and maintain a current license in the state of practice as required Other education and experience may be considered Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance and 401k.
