Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Experience: 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. Experience with Epic is required. Requirements: Candidates must have a license (required after submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local. COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Providence Health & Services. Additional Details: Required Skills/Experience - NICU and adult experience required. - Adult critical care, ED, PICU, and peds experience required. - NIV / NAVA required. - Needs to be able to independently intubate a neonate, not just assist. - Airway management and suctioning: Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy/suctioning. - Medication administration: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Theophylline, Tobramycin, Xopenex. - Medication delivery systems: Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered dose inhaler. - Nebulizer experience: Cold, Hand held, Heated, Ultrasonic, T-piece, Trach collar. - Ventilator management: BiPAP, Flow-by, CPAP, High frequency oscillator, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation. - Draeger and Servo I ventilator experience required. - Professional knowledge and skills: ABG interpretation, Basic EKG. Preferred Skills/Experience: - Pulmonary Function Test Lab experience preferred. Required Credentials: - Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. Special Requests - RTO must be listed at time of submission. - All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. - You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. - References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Unit Details: - Neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. - Patient volume/load: 5 ventilators, 6-8 RVU’s. Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend coverage is every other weekend. - Late May or early June start date only; earlier start dates will not be accepted. Floating Requirements: - Must be open to floating to other campuses and cover both NICU and Adult patient populations. Previous Employment Requirements: - All previous perm employees of ANY Providence-affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a min of 3 months to qualify for a travel position. Details: AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
