Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM Experience: 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. Experience with Epic is preferred. Requirements: Candidates must have a license (required after submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Required Skills/Experience: - Must have NICU experience. Required Credentials: - CRT or RRT via NBRC required. - STABLE and NRP are only required for NICU or travelers handling babies. Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Previous St. Luke’s Health System employees may be considered on a one-off exception basis with approval from St. Luke’s Health System. - Block scheduling can be accommodated. Unit Details - Covers inpatient and ER patients from Level III NICU through geriatrics, including ICU, step-down, med-surg, and a small pediatric unit; no PICU. - Up to 30 treatments per shift depending on season; assignments are by floor rather than points, so workload can be heavier at times. - Duties include ABG draws and analysis, breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, ventilator management, assisting with bedside bronchoscopy and intubation, and LMA placement; does not perform EKGs. - May serve as charge depending on experience and willingness; a team lead or charge is always on shift, and the traveler is not the only RT in-house. - Uses Drager vents, Servo-NICU, Hamilton transport vent, Vapotherm, and Philips V60/V30. Shift & Scheduling: - Self-scheduling. - Every other weekend. - Holidays as needed. - Call or standby: low census per contract. Floating Requirements: - First to float to ICU, floors, NICU, and ER. 7 days maximum time off 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years Driver’s license required for submission Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification RRT (National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)) STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway.
