Job Overview Join our vibrant hospitality team as a Restaurant Host/Hostess, where your welcoming personality and exceptional communication skills will set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. Duties Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, making them feel instantly welcome and appreciated Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Square. Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to ensure a professional appearance Communicate clearly with guests regarding wait times, menu specials, and restaurant policies via phone or in person Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating flow and minimize wait times Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns with courteous professionalism to enhance guest relations Assist with guest departure processes, including managing reservations for future visits and collecting feedback when appropriate Experience Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating strong customer service skills Experience working in a restaurant environment, including familiarity with POS systems like Aloha or Micros, is advantageous Excellent communication skills are essential for engaging with guests, team members, and management effectively Background in Japanese/sushi cuisine.
