Overview Drift is a restaurant & bar that uses a food truck as our “Kitchen”, so not the typical food truck type of position. Sometimes we close the window to the public to only service our resturant, and when we have slower times we open the front window to serve to-go orders as well. We start at 16$ per hour with tips which comes to 25-30+ an hour. As a key player in our mobile kitchen, you'll be responsible for preparing delicious food, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and delivering exceptional customer service. Duties Prepare and cook menu items efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Operate POS systems such as Square to process orders accurately Manage food handling, portioning, and plating to ensure quality presentation Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including bussing tables and sanitizing work surfaces Assist with cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring food levels Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, upselling menu items, and ensuring a positive experience Skills Proven experience in food preparation within a quick service or fast food restaurant environment Familiarity with Square systems for efficient order processing Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks swiftly during busy hours Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately, including cash handling and retail math calculations Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Previous restaurant or café experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Join us in creating memorable dining experiences on the go!
