Job Description
The Philadelphia Club is the oldest city based private members’ club in the United States and is looking for a new colleague. A new member of the management team. The role: To run the dining room and private events at the Club ensuring the highest standards of service are offered to the Members and their guests. To also support the wider management team in making The Philadelphia Club one of the finest private members’ clubs in the United States. Essential functions: · To establish and maintain the highest levels of service throughout all food service areas – dining room and private dining. · To be a charming host for all Members and their guests. · To champion the training and development of the team. Skills and Requirements: Proven experience as a manager or supervisor in a high-quality restaurant environment. Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising/managing staff. Good knowledge of classical food service techniques. Good knowledge of wines and cocktails. ServSafe Certificate required. Knowledge of point-of-sale use in bars and restaurants. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong communications skills, both verbal and written. Fluency in English is essential to this role. Physical requirements for this role include but are not limited to: lifting of heavy objects, reaching including overhead, stooping, bending, and standing for prolonged periods of time. Experience of complaint handling and the ability to deal with any Member’s complaints in a polite and professional manner and bring them to the attention of the General Manager.
