Prep & Pantry Cook (Cold Kitchen) – Full or Part-Time; University Club of MSU - You’ll Love Working Here! Flexible Scheduling: Full-time or Part-time options available. Paid Breaks , Free Parking , & Great Benefits including Health, Dental, Life, LTD, PTO, Retirement Plan, etc. Starting Pay $16-$18 per hour The Role (What You’ll Do): As a member of the Pantry team, you are the artist of the cold kitchen. You’ll be responsible for the "first impression" dishes for both à la carte dining and banquet events. Plate & Present: Assemble salads, sandwiches, and desserts to high-end plating standards. Artful Displays: Create crudité, cheese, and fruit platters for large-scale events. Prep: Organize ingredients for the pantry station to ensure smooth service. Collaborate: Work with the culinary team to time production and manage shared kitchen space. What We’re Looking For: Experience: Prior prep, pantry, or professional kitchen experience is required. Skills: Excellent knife skills and a solid foundation in culinary arts. Mindset: Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable with a creative eye. Safety: Knowledge of food safety/sanitation regulations (ServSafe preferred). Education: Culinary degree or current enrollment is a major plus! About the U-Club: We are more than just a kitchen.
