Category: Food and Beverage Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Director of Food and Beverage and General Manager Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Restaurant Supervisor to support the daily operational flow of The Front Yard at Ellis Island Casino. The Restaurant Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring smooth service, guest satisfaction, and monitoring shift activities. The ideal candidate is a proactive and service-driven individual who excels at coordinating team efforts, addressing guest needs in real time, and maintaining high operational standards in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation in line with restaurant guidelines. Monitor the dining and kitchen areas to ensure cleanliness, food quality, and service standards are maintained. Ensure exceptional guest service. Support front-of-house and back-of-house teams by stepping in where needed. Ensure safety and sanitation protocols are followed according to health code regulations. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Participate in weekly inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels of food and supplies, ensuring efficient restaurant operations. Act as a point of contact for resolving guest concerns during shifts, escalating unresolved issues to the Restaurant General Manager. Assist in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Support marketing initiatives to drive sales and enhance brand visibility. Foster a positive team environment that encourages employee engagement and retention. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational needs, as necessary. Skills / Experience Must have extensive food and beverage knowledge in both the front and back of house operations. At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment. At least 1 year of leadership experience with groups of diverse people of varying skills, educational levels, cultural backgrounds, and experience. Demonstrated ability to manage shift logistics, maintain service flow, and support staff collaboration under pressure. Exceptional problem-solving skills and sound judgment in addressing guest concerns or service disruptions. Comfortable stepping into various operational roles as needed. Working knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards in a food service environment. Must have a positive, upbeat attitude and be willing to put our guests first. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with team members and management. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain attention to detail in a high-volume setting. Must be over 21 years of age. Must be able to obtain a Nevada Health Card. Must be able to obtain a Nevada TAM Card. Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration Card. The ability to submit to a background check and drug test is required. Bonus Skills / Experience Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, with strong communication skills to effectively engage with our diverse team and guests. Physical Requirements Work indoors and move throughout the property, lift, bend/kneel & work outdoors less than 25% of the time, hearing, vision, speech, and literacy (critical). Ability to work in environments that are smoky, noisy, hot, cold, or humid. Must be able to stand and walk swiftly for extended periods of time, bend to obtain items near the floor, carry service trays over their head, and lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
