Description Tacoma Country & Golf Club Overview Tacoma Country & Golf Club is as proud of our past as we are excited about our future. Dating to 1894, Tacoma Country & Golf Club has been occupying this beautiful property on the shores of American Lake for well over a century. TCGC is the oldest established Golf Club West of the Mississippi. Golf is central to the member experience at Tacoma Country & Golf Club. We feature an 18-hole championship golf course that stretches beyond 6,900-yards from the back tees. Accomplished players will love the test they find on our links, while players of all skill levels will find a playable course that is enjoyable round after round. Tacoma Country & Golf Club (TCGC) operates a banquet kitchen and a full service, member-only restaurant. Throughout the property there are many banquet rooms and facilities used for events. We offer a fun, energetic and welcoming culture here at the Club which helps create and maintain relationships with our members and their guests. Tacoma Country & Golf Club has a very active membership in the summer months with business levels thinning out in the Winter months as the membership heads south. The food quality here at TCGC is one of our focal points and the membership is quick to comment on their love of the restaurant and level of service we extend to them! Our Executive Chef has been with the Club for 16+ years, loves to fish, and is active in changing the weekly specials and menus to reflect the seasons. Banquet Support Position Summary Banquet Support Team Members support the successful execution of events such as weddings, conferences, meetings, and social gatherings. These team members are responsible for setting up event spaces, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a high level of member & guest satisfaction throughout the event. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Responsibilities Performs related banquet (dining room) set-up tasks Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating Takes beverage order and serves food in specified station Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and/or other beverages served with and after the meal Clears soiled dishes as needed Cleans all assigned work areas in kitchen and dining room Advises supervisor of any member/guest complaints as soon as they occur Assists in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, busing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor Restaurant Support Position Summary This position supports the front-of-house team by maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, ensuring tables are cleared, reset, and ready for guests in a timely manner. Support Team Members assist servers by refilling water, delivering bread or condiments, and responding to guest needs to help ensure smooth service flow. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a positive dining experience for all members & guests. Responsibilities Prepare dining areas before guests are seated Place tableware and condiments on table Serve water and bread upon arrival, refill water for the duration of members stay Remove dirty dishes, utensils, glassware and replenish as necessary Clean and reset tables after guests departure Requirements: Banquet/Support Staff service experience a plus, BUT NOT REQUIRED No restaurant experience required! Our ideal candidate possesses these qualifications: Ability to interact with members, able to remember members names and face Knowledge of banquet etiquette preferred but not required Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours Possess an outgoing, friendly, professional personality Ability to asses members needs and preferences and make recommendations Stay member focused and nurture an excellent member experience Comply with all food and beverage regulations/laws Highly energetic, self-starter, hands-on approach to hospitality/service with the ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast paced, event-driven environment Ability to multi-task and remain calm Heavy attention to detail Punctuality Desire to learn multiple positions Computer literacy Wine knowledge is a plus
