Tres Rios Habitat for Humanity is seeking a dependable, community-minded individual to join our team as a part-time ReStore Donation Pickup Driver . This position is primarily responsible for picking up donated items from homes, businesses, and community partners using the ReStore truck with trailer attached at all times . This is a hands-on position that includes driving, loading and unloading donations, and helping process incoming items at the ReStore. When time allows, this team member will also assist with cleaning, pricing, sorting, and organizing donated merchandise, along with limited customer service as needed. We are looking for someone who is reliable, safety-minded, physically capable, and able to represent Tres Rios Habitat for Humanity professionally in the community. Responsibilities Drive the ReStore truck with trailer attached to pick up donated items from homes, businesses, and community partners Load, secure, transport, and unload donated furniture, appliances, building materials, and household goods safely and efficiently Provide friendly, professional service to donors and the public Communicate clearly with staff regarding donation condition, suitability, and pickup-related concerns Help unload, sort, stage, clean, price, and organize donated items at the ReStore Place incoming donations in the appropriate area for processing or display Assist with keeping donation and merchandise areas clean, safe, and organized Help customers with basic questions and courteous assistance as needed Work cooperatively with staff and volunteers to support daily ReStore operations Follow all driving, loading, lifting, and workplace safety procedures Qualifications Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required Must be able to safely operate a truck with trailer attached at all times Strong customer service and communication skills Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Comfortable with physical, hands-on work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to frequently lift and move donated items weighing 50 pounds or more Must be able to assist with heavier items safely using team lifting or equipment when appropriate High school diploma or GED preferred Must be able to pass a criminal background check and national sex offender registry check Schedule Part-time, approximately 10–20 hours per week Flexible schedule based on donation pickups and ReStore needs Work Environment This position involves both off-site donation pickups and on-site donation handling at the ReStore. It requires frequent driving, lifting, loading, unloading, organizing, and customer interaction in a hands-on, service-oriented environment.
