There is one mandatory all-staff meeting each month for input and idea generation to help contribute and improve overall business operations. Position Summary The Retail Cashier & Hardware Sales Specialist provides excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product selection, answering questions, and ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized. This role requires strong product knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn about hardware, tools, and home improvement items. The position will also provide coverage and assist as needed outside of the hardware department and will be trained across all retail departments. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance. Recommend products, explain features, and demonstrate proper use when needed. Maintain product displays and ensure shelves are clean, stocked, and properly labeled. Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately. Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking merchandise. Help maintain store cleanliness, safety, and organization. Follow company policies and procedures. Assist customers with rental contracts and transactions. Qualifications: Prior retail or hardware experience a plus but not required. Experience with a fork truck and propane fill are helpful but not required. Strong customer service and communication skills. Basic math skills for transactions and measurements. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule (including weekends/holidays as needed).
