Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and finish custom picture frames using hand tools and power tools with precision and care Select appropriate materials such as wood, metal, glass, and matting to match customer preferences and project requirements Assist customers in selecting framing options that complement their artwork and decor while providing expert advice on preservation techniques Perform minor repairs or restorations on existing frames or artwork to restore their original beauty Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety protocols related to construction, handling delicate materials, and heavy lifting Qualifications Prior experience in picture framing is highly desirable Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in framing and woodworking Ability to perform precise measurements and detailed craftsmanship in a fast-paced retail setting Strong communication skills for customer consultations and teamwork within the store environment Join us as a Retail Picture Framer where your craftsmanship transforms everyday spaces into works of art!
