Position Overview The Retail Sales Associate is the frontline of the Carry-On experience. You're the person our Passengers interact with most, and how you show up matters. This role is about more than ringing up sales. You're guiding people through their cannabis journey with knowledge, patience, and genuine care. Whether someone is a first-time visitor or a regular on our flight path, they should leave feeling welcomed, informed, and supported. Key Responsibilities Passenger Experience Greet every Passenger with warmth, eye contact, and intention Ask questions, listen actively, and match product recommendations to what the Passenger actually needs (not just what's popular or what you personally like) Educate Passengers on product types, consumption methods, effects, and responsible use Create a comfortable environment where people feel safe asking questions, whether they're cannabis-curious or experienced consumers Handle Passenger concerns with professionalism and get a manager involved when needed Sales Floor Operations Process transactions accurately using the Treez POS system Verify customer identification in accordance with New York State cannabis regulations Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor at all times Assist with product merchandising, restocking, and inventory counts Follow all opening and closing procedures as assigned Compliance Maintain working knowledge of New York Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) regulations Follow all standard operating procedures related to product handling, inventory tracking, and transaction processing Complete all required state and company training on cannabis regulations, safety, and responsible sales Accurately log and report any discrepancies, incidents, or compliance concerns immediately Team Contribution Communicate clearly and consistently with managers and coworkers, primarily through Slack Support teammates during high-traffic periods and pitch in wherever coverage is needed Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and product education opportunities Maintain accurate timekeeping through KayaPush, including clocking in/out and logging breaks Qualifications Required Must be 21 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts Reliable transportation to the Niagara Falls location Strong communication skills with a natural ability to connect with a wide range of people Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs Willingness to complete all required New York State cannabis employee training Preferred Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience Experience working in a licensed cannabis dispensary Familiarity with cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and effects Experience with POS systems (Treez experience is a plus) Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply What You Bring to the Team You're curious.
