Job Description
POSITION Summary:This position reports directly to the assistant manager or manager, depending upon the size of the retail store.This position is responsible for cashing out customer purchases, helping take purchases to vehicle, keeping the store clean and helping with customer needs.Process customer returns, with proper authority.May also perform water testing.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:HS Diploma preferred.Previous retail and/or pool supply experience preferred.Will train.Excellent customer service skills required.Cash register experience preferred.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Cash out customer purchases accurately.Process returns, with proper authority.Help customer take purchases to vehicle.Answer phones.Help customers with purchase selections.Perform water balance testing, as needed, for customers Ensure store is clean at all times; straighten shelves, dust shelves, keep furniture, displays and counter area clean.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.Must be able to lift 50 pounds.The position requires constant walking, bending and lifting.Ability to run the cash register with accuracy, answer phones and perform functions on a computer necessary when interacting with customers and or the corporate office.The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.Job Types:Part-time, Full-time Pay:$14.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Paid time off Supplemental Pay:Bonus pay Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred) Work Location:In person.
