WHEAT | The Clothes Silo & Fair Trade Store WHEAT is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty at the root through programs that empower individuals toward greater self-sufficiency. We are seeking dependable, team-oriented Retail Sales Associates to support the daily operations of the Clothes Silo and the Fair Trade Store — two mission driven retail programs serving both our local and global community. What You’ll Be Part Of: WHEAT’s Clothes Silo A women’s thrift boutique where referred clients shop for clothing at no cost as they prepare for jobs, interviews, and everyday life — while also offering the public affordable secondhand clothing, shoes, and accessories. WHEAT’s Fair Trade Store A thoughtfully curated gift shop featuring handcrafted goods from artisans and small-scale farmers around the world, supporting fair wages, ethical trade, and sustainable livelihoods. Together, these two retail spaces operate side-by-side within one shared storefront, serving both our local and global community. What You’ll Do: Welcome and assist clients, customers, and donors Help shoppers find items that meet their needs Operate the register and handle transactions accurately Accept and sort donations (including assisting with unloading) Process, price, and stock merchandise Create simple, inviting displays Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming space Answer questions in person and over the phone Work alongside volunteers and support a team environment What We’re Looking For: Friendly, reliable, and ready to jump in Strong attention to detail and an eye for organization Comfortable in a hands-on, flexible environment Retail or customer service experience is helpful, but not required Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Hours & Availability: Part-time position Saturday availability is required Scheduling may fall within the following working hours: Tuesdays: 9:30am – 4:00pm & Wednesdays thru Saturdays: 9:30am – 2:30pm Our stores are open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Closed on Sundays and Mondays. Basic Requirements: Must be 15 years or older Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently Reliable transportation Consistent, in-person attendance Physical Requirements: Standing for extended periods Lifting up to 25 lbs Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $15.15 per hour Ability to Commute Phoenix, AZ 85014 (Required) Work Location: In person
