Retail Sales Clerk

Job Overview Description We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Retail Sales Clerk to join our team. This is a family owned retail/wholesale business, selling tools-housewares-general merchandise for the past 45 years. The ideal candidate will be a dependable, friendly, and motivated individual who enjoys working with the public and is passionate about providing excellent service. You will also be asked to help in the warehouse when needed. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to meet their needs effectively. Maintain a high level of product knowledge to answer questions and make tailored recommendations. Perform sales transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register and a credit card machine. Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and replenished regularly. Maintain store cleanliness and organization through stocking, merchandising, and general tidying of the bins and sales floor. May need some assistance from time to time consisting of lifting, loading & unloading trucks, as well as assisting with warehouse inventory. Qualifications Previous retail sales experience preferred. Familiarity with cashiering. Basic math for accurate transactions and computer skills. Strong customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Flexibility to work various shifts.
