We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate to help our customers with both hardware and non-hardware related issues.The right applicant will have an opportunity to learn all facets of the retail hardware and customer service business.Candidates with strong communication skills and creative problem solving skills will be more likely to succeed.You will help identify customer needs, answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions.A positive attitude, a desire to help people, and a penchant for solving problems will make you successful in this role.Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store happier than when they arrived and you will learn everything you need to know in life.Responsibilities Greet and assist customers Operate cash register and count back change Facilitate purchases and special orders Provide accurate information (e.g.product features, pricing and product availability) Answer customers' questions about products, services, and general life complexities.Custom mix paint, cut keys, thread pipe, repair windows and screens, re-key locks, cut lumber, service rental equipment, sweep, stock shelves, merchandise, dust, face forward, and dance in the isles every now and then.Ensure shelves are fully stocked, dusted and faced forward.Manage sales and returns of merchandise Coordinate with all team members to provide excellent customer service Multi-task and perform well under pressure Offer solutions, not excuses Stay up-to-date with new products and services Skills Positive attitude Strong work ethic Desire to learn Desire to help people Basic computer and internet skills Basic math skills Compassion, Tolerance and Empathy toward all others Excellent communication skills a must, legible penmanship a plus Ability to perform in fast-paced environments Flexibility to work various shifts Retail, mechanical or general home maintenance knowledge helpful, but not required.Job Types:Full-time, Part-time Pay:$12.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours:20 per week Benefits:Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid time off People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Application Question(s):Are you looking for part-time full-time or either?
