Key Responsibilities: Effectively manage time and resources to prioritize patient care and unit needs. Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and families to deliver high-quality care. Maintain expertise through ongoing education and apply evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes. Foster positive relationships with patients, visitors, and colleagues by demonstrating respect, integrity, empathy, and teamwork. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to safety protocols, reporting incidents, and promoting patient and workplace safety. Engage in professional development opportunities including certifications, advanced degrees, and leadership roles. Participate actively in team collaboration, mentoring, and shared governance. Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Candidates from non-accredited programs must have at least five years of acute care nursing experience or hold an advanced degree from an accredited institution. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is also acceptable. Licensure and Certifications: Current active Registered Nurse licensure is mandatory. Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications are required or to be obtained upon hire. This position offers a first shift schedule with 36 hours per week in a supportive and growth-oriented environment serving the broader Midwest region.
