Overview: Join a dedicated healthcare team providing expert nursing care in a specialized Chest Pain Unit during night shifts. This role involves planning and delivering professional nursing services aligned with established policies, with opportunities to assume charge nurse duties as needed. Key Responsibilities: Provide compassionate care to cardiac patients, including pre- and post-operative care and stress testing. Maintain effective communication and organizational skills while managing a patient load typically ranging from 4 to 5 patients per nurse in a 16-bed unit. Education and Certifications: Must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Experience: Minimum of one year of nursing experience required. Preference given to candidates with cardiac, emergency department, or intensive care unit experience. Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to meet the physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual needs of patients. Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Awareness of infection control practices due to potential exposure to blood and other infectious materials.
