Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) / Medical Assistant (MA) โ€“ Urology Clinic ๐Ÿ“ Location: Elgin, Illinois (745 Fletcher Drive, Suite 301) About The Facility AMG Elgin Urology Clinic is a fast-paced outpatient setting focused on delivering specialized urological care. The clinic features 5 exam rooms and 1 dedicated procedure room, supporting a collaborative team environment. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused RN or Medical Assistant to join our urology team. This role involves working closely with providers and staff to deliver high-quality care to primarily adult patients in a clinic setting. Patient Population & Case Types Primarily adult patients (minimal pediatric cases) Common conditions treated include Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) Kidney stones Overactive bladder Prostate and bladder cancers Procedures include Catheter exchanges and removals Stent removals In-office cystoscopy, vasectomy, and Botox treatments Key Responsibilities Rooming patients and preparing them for examination Administering injections (e.g., testosterone, Lupron) Assisting providers with procedures Preparing and maintaining procedure rooms Supporting overall clinic workflow in a team-based environment Preferred Skills & Experience Experience in urology or outpatient clinic setting (preferred, not required) Bladder scanning Foley catheter insertion and removal Voiding trials Assisting with in-office procedures Requirements Active RN license (for RN candidates) BLS certification (required) Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (RN/MA) EMR experience preferred (EPIC) Patient Volume Approximately 45โ€“70 patients per day Team Structure 2 Providers Registered Nurses (RNs) Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) Surgery schedulers Patient Service Representatives Referral Coordinator Orientation & Training 1โ€“2 weeks of orientation based on experience level Paired training with experienced staff Schedule & Work Environment Repeating schedule cycle Team-based workflow (not assigned to a single provider) Requests for time off (RTO) managed by leadership Additional Details Scrubs: Any solid color (no graphics/logos) Parking: Free parking available on-site
