Job Description
Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This role involves delivering direct patient care through the nursing process, demonstrating clinical expertise, and upholding the highest ethical standards in nursing practice. Key Responsibilities Adhere to established safety protocols including infection control, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to ensure a secure care environment. Manage and maintain central lines and prevent surgical site infections according to policy. Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide education to patients and families to support positive health outcomes. Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance quality, and communicate findings effectively to the healthcare team. Document all patient care activities and quality measures accurately to support clinical decisions. Collaborate and delegate within the team to foster accountability and teamwork. Engage with patients and families promptly to improve their experience and provide necessary education. Apply critical thinking in nursing practice and pursue ongoing professional development. Education Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Experience At least one year of nursing experience is preferred. Requirements Current RN license valid in the state or compact licensure. Graduate nurses must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
