This part-time, mid-shift Registered Nurse (RN) role offers the opportunity to deliver life-saving nursing care while supporting patients and their families through challenging times. General Summary The RN delivers direct patient care by applying the nursing process with clinical expertise tailored to emergency nursing. Adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics and hospital policies ensures safe, high-quality care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Implement patient safety protocols including infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to maintain a secure care environment. Manage central lines and prevent surgical site infections following established guidelines. Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide education to patients and families to promote health outcomes. Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance safety, and inform the healthcare team. Document all care activities and quality measures accurately to support clinical decisions. Communicate effectively with physicians and team members to optimize patient outcomes. Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability. Engage patients and families with timely communication and education to improve their experience. Apply critical thinking in nursing practice and pursue continuing education to develop skills. Education Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
