Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) Location: Washington DC, USA 20037 Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract) Shift: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts - Night Shift Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department Work in the trauma room as the bedside Trauma RN Manage patient ratios up to 1:5 Perform advanced critical care interventions including medication titrations, arterial line management, chest tube care, and mass blood transfusion Provide care to a diverse patient population including urgent care, psychiatric, pediatric, critical care, and trauma patients Coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing needs Ensure patient safety, quality of care, and a positive patient experience Document patient care using Cerner EMR Required Qualification: Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room RN experience Willingness and ability to work in the trauma room as bedside Trauma RN Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved Registered Nurse program Current active RN license in state/district of practice Cerner experience required Current Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Highly Desired Prior experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma centers Distance Requirement: Must reside at least 50
