Position Summary Provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance. Primary Position Responsibilities Facilitate and Coordinate Total Care Documentation of Care Maintain Professional Development Education of patient and family Patient Advocate Maintain Patient Safety Other duties as assigned Work Contact Group (Internal/External) HMC employees, Providers, Patients and Family, Visitors & Vendors Reporting Relationships Reports to (position) Assistant Nurse Manager, Administrative Director, Charge Nurse Supervises (position(s) Unit Coordinator, Endoscopy Tech Qualifications Minimum Education Required All hires after July 2012 are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in nursing OR if Associates Degree or Diploma, RN must provide proof of enrollment in a BSN program prior to hire, be continuously enrolled and complete within 5 years of hire date or internal RN promotion date. Associates Degree AND 2 years of experience in the specialty area will be accepted in lieu of BSN. Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required 1 year med/surg nursing experience or previous OR experience. Preferred One year Endoscopy experience. License, Registry or Certification: Required Current NJ RN licensure, American Heart Association CPR certification, ACLS. Preferred Certification in specialty. Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required Must pass annual clinical competency based program and mandated in-service education. Unit specific skills may include but not limited to IV therapy,
