Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Oncology. This role involves delivering compassionate, direct patient care while applying the nursing process and adhering to professional ethical standards. Key Responsibilities Implement patient safety protocols including infection prevention, safe handling, and critical lab notifications to ensure a secure care environment. Manage central lines and prevent surgical site infections following established policies. Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide education to patients and families to support positive health outcomes. Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance safety, and inform the healthcare team. Document all care activities and quality measures accurately to support clinical decisions. Communicate effectively with physicians, team members, patients, and families to improve care experiences and outcomes. Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability. Engage in critical thinking and pursue continuing education to advance nursing skills. Education Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Experience At least one year of nursing experience is preferred. Requirements Current RN license valid in the state or through Compact Licensure; new graduates must obtain licensure within 90 days. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
