RN - Medical/Surgical - 12-hour, Nights (7p-7a)

Our client is currently seeking a RN – Medical/Surgical – 12‑Hour, Nights (7p–7a) Location: Slidell, LA Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Schedule: 36 hours per week This is a temporary RN position within a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit . The RN functions as a leader in the provision of patient care using the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The role emphasizes accountability for patient outcomes, delegation of care, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities Deliver patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with professional nursing standards Perform comprehensive assessments and reassessments of Med‑Surg/Telemetry patients Delegate and direct care to licensed and ancillary team members Maintain accountability for quality patient outcomes Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in patient interactions Assess patient learning needs and implement appropriate education strategies Communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams Utilize clinical data and knowledge to evaluate outcomes and support improvement initiatives Support unit and department goals and objectives Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements Education and/or Certification Requirement Required: Registered Nurse Diploma Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Required: Active RN license in state of practice Required: Current BLS (American Heart Association) Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area Experience Requirement Required: Minimum 2+ years of RN experience, preferably in Med‑Surg or Telemetry Management Requirement Ability to delegate and direct care team members Functions as a clinical leader on shift Process Oversight Requirement Accountability for patient safety and quality outcomes Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Adherence to organizational Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct Specific Skills Requirement Proficiency with computers, software, and clinical documentation systems Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities Additional Requirements CPI required at submission ACLS system‑required but NOT clinically required (upload blank document to satisfy system requirement) Ability to meet physical demands, including heavy lifting Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases Potential exposure to hazardous medications or waste By providing your phone number, you consent to: (1) receive automated text messages and calls from the Judge Group, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively "Judge") to such phone number regarding job opportunities, your job application, and for other related purposes.
