Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient care to adult Med/Surg and Telemetry patients Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data Administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac drips (insulin, heparin, etc.) Perform trach care, chest tube management, and PIV insertions Conduct ongoing patient assessments and respond to condition changes Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge care Float across Med/Tele units as needed to support patient care Requirements Active RN license (state or compact) Minimum 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry experience BLS certification (required) ACLS (preferred) - must pass EKG competency during onboarding Strong skills in: Telemetry & cardiac monitoring Cardiac drips (insulin, heparin, titration to HR) Trach care & chest tube management IV starts & glucometer use Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Comfortable with floating across units Open to day or night 12-hour shifts (36 hrs/week) First-time travelers accepted Why You Should Join Work in a Level I Trauma Center & Teaching Hospital with strong clinical exposure Gain experience in a high-acuity Med/Tele environment Supportive team structure with: CNAs Charge nurses Resource nurses 24/7 hospitalist, intensivist & RT coverage Hands-on exposure to advanced cardiac care and telemetry monitoring EPIC charting system (great for resume value) Opportunity to expand skills across multiple units (float pool experience) Work culture: Team-oriented, fast-paced, and collaborative Ideal for nurses looking to build strong acute care and cardiac experience
