Job Description
Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing exceptional nursing care in orthopedic surgery. This role involves delivering direct patient care through the nursing process, demonstrating clinical expertise, and upholding the highest ethical standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to established safety protocols including infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to ensure a secure care environment. Maintain and care for central lines while preventing surgical site infections according to policy. Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and educate patients and families to support positive health outcomes. Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance quality, and provide accurate information to the healthcare team. Document all patient care activities and quality monitoring data to comply with standards and aid clinical decisions. Communicate effectively with physicians and team members to improve patient outcomes. Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability. Engage with patients and families promptly to enhance their experience and provide education. Apply critical thinking in nursing practice and pursue continuing education to develop skills. Education Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Experience At least one year of nursing experience is preferred. Requirements Current Registered Nurse license valid in the state or through compact licensure; graduate nurses must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
