Job Description

The position supports acute care departments including Medical, Surgery, Emergency, Intensive Care, Childbirth, Pediatric, Operating Room, Perianesthesia, Endoscopy/GI, and Cardiac Cath Lab. Key Responsibilities: Efficiently manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals. Apply specialized knowledge and technical skills to deliver high-quality patient care, making informed patient assignments based on acuity and expertise. Foster excellent relationships with patients, families, healthcare providers, and colleagues, demonstrating respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and professionalism. Maintain a therapeutic and safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, noise reduction, and supporting healthcare students. Participate actively in career development through certifications, advanced education, leadership opportunities, and evidence-based practice. Promote teamwork by motivating and guiding colleagues, encouraging cooperation, and providing mentorship. Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent with at least five years of acute care experience. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in advanced degree programs is accepted. Area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications are required and maintained. Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.
