Job Description
Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Midwest region as a Registered Nurse specializing in psychiatric care. This part-time role offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, direct patient care while utilizing your clinical skills in a supportive environment. General Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient-centered care by applying the nursing process and demonstrating clinical expertise relevant to psychiatric nursing. Adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics is essential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to established safety protocols including infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to ensure a safe care environment. Maintain and care for central lines and prevent surgical site infections according to policy. Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and provide education to patients and families to support positive health outcomes. Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, enhance quality, and communicate findings to the healthcare team. Document all patient care activities and quality monitoring data to support clinical decisions and compliance with quality standards. Effectively communicate patient information to physicians and team members to improve outcomes. Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability. Engage with patients and families promptly to enhance their experience and provide health education. Apply critical thinking in nursing practice and pursue continuing education to develop skills. Education Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required. Experience At least one year of nursing experience is preferred.
