General Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering quality nursing care, including medication administration, nursing interventions, and patient and family education, all while maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to established safety protocols such as infection prevention, safe patient handling, and critical lab notifications to ensure optimal patient safety. Maintain and care for central lines and prevent surgical site infections according to policy. Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments to monitor status, improve quality, and support clinical decision-making. Document all patient care activities and quality monitoring items to comply with standards and enhance communication among healthcare team members. Communicate effectively with physicians, team members, patients, and families to improve outcomes and patient experience. Delegate tasks appropriately while fostering teamwork and accountability. Engage in critical thinking and pursue continuing education to develop nursing skills and abilities. Education Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. Experience One year of nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory. Certification and Licensure Current RN license in the state of Missouri or Compact Licensure. Graduate nurses must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. <
