As a RN Radiology Prep Recovery, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn -whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives.You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.Job Summary and Qualifications The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered carein accordance withthe nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. The RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.Organizes, plans, and directs activities relating to patients and procedures for designated area.Manages, directs, and provides leadership to the technical aspects in areas with regard tostate of the art equipment, service programs and the evaluation of each.Evaluates and counsels employeerelative to performance, conduct, attendance and adherence to department/hospital rules and regulations.Develops long range operational plans relative to services, programs, capital equipment and human resources.Develops and maintain policies and procedures to meet the latest safety standards and the requirements for the credentialing agencies for the designated area.Interviews and recommends candidates for employment, promotion and other administrative action within area of responsibility.Mediates problems relative to patients, staffing, moral, scheduling, salary adjustments, discipline and other actions regarding personnel.Prepares equipment and staffing schedules to assure the coverage is satisfactory to the department and patient needs.Reviews, approves and process time sheets.Develops/updates marketing plans based on observed trends, existing services and new services.Assists in preparing the budget with monthly reviews to work within budget and explain variances.Attends regularly scheduled meetings and participates in department committees as required.Performs and maintains all data for quality assurance and quality control to meet all credentialing inspections and certifications.Educates patients in three-step approach to early detection of breast cancer and other breast disorders.Maintains quality control of all images following MQSA requirements and guidelines (Site identification, patient name, medical record ID number, date, DOB and technologist's signature or initials).Provides radiation protection to patient, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.Enters mammographic orders into the Hospital Information System (HIS).Places patient into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Mammography Reporting System (MRS).Tracks examination after procedure is completed into the RIS.Maintains data for quality assurance, ACR and FDA.Troubleshoots any system problems and reports to supervisor any equipment concerns.Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the mammography department including washing mammography units between patients, stocking linens and supplies, changing laundry bags, and maintaining organization in cabinets and overall room appearance.Performs daily quality control functions within Mammography as specified by the ACR and the FDA.Print and review mammography patient letters.Requests previous imaging studies for comparison when needed.Monitors and returns outside mammograms as needed.Participates in department Quality Management program, when assigned and where applicable.Maintains professional accreditation.Maintain clinical competencies in designated area annually.Performs similar or related duties as assigned or directed.What qualifications you will need:Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (RN) Registered Nurse in the state of NH Minimum of two years in Diagnostic Radiology; with some supervisory experience Associate Degree Benefits Catholic Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.The available plans and programs include:Comprehensive benefits for medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health and telemedicine services Wellbeing support, including free counseling and referral services Time away from work programs for paid time off, paid family leave, long- and short-term disability coverage and leaves of absence Savings and retirement resources, including a 401(k) Pl
